Barrington Wine

“Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.”

Ernest Hemmingway

Conditions in the Alexandra Basin are challenging with semi-arid soils and the most extreme temperatures in New Zealand. They do however, provide the opportunity to produce wines that display the unique character of the region.

Our elegantly styled wines, crafted by award-winning winemaker, Antony Worch, from 100% Pinot grapes hand picked by Barrington’s families and friends at the single vineyard blocks, epitomise everything you’ve grown to enjoy from this region.
